University of Nottingham Iran Masters Scholarship

Tuition fees scholarships are available at University of Nottingham for MSc Iranian Applicants. You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Iran and are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes and already hold an offer to start a full-time Masters degree programme (including MRes) at Nottingham in September 2012 – any subject area (excluding MBA).

 
Quota Scheme Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries

The Norwegian government provides students from developing countries in the South and countries in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and in Central Asia with financial support to study for a degree in Norway under the Quota Scheme. The main objective of the Quota Scheme is to contribute to capacity building through education that will benefit the home country of the students when they return. The Quota Scheme is also intended to strengthen relations between Norway and the selected countries and thus contribute to internationalisation at Norwegian institutions of higher education.

 
Iran Heritage Foundation (IHF) Visiting Fellowship Programme at SOAS

The Centre for Iranian Studies (CIS) at the London Middle East Institute, SOAS invites applications for the Iran Heritage Foundation Visiting Fellowship Programme. Applicants will normally hold a PhD or equivalent and must demonstrate sufficient command of English to be able to take part in the academic life of SOAS. Their research may be in any discipline working on Iran. In the absence of teaching responsibilities, the fellows will be expected to participate fully in the academic and intellectual life of the Centre for Iranian Studies in particular and SOAS more generally, including giving occasional lectures and taking part in CIS academic conferences and seminars

The Institute is pleased to welcome academics from Africa, Asia and Latin America for a period of one semester. Candidates are invited to apply to the programme. Successful applicants will be able to take advantage of their period in residence to update their teaching curricula, participate in teaching courses, further their research projects and contribute to enriching the intellectual life of the Institute. Priority will be given to university teachers with a preference for women and junior academics who will seek to apply the benefits of their stay at the Institute upon returning to their own institutions.

 
ICARDA Internship Program, 2012

ICARDA's internship program is designed to provide practical experience in research and other areas of the Center's activities for eligible applicants. The subject should be of mutual interest to the intern and the hosting Program/Unit of ICARDA. The internship will usually be for a period of one to six months, as per the need, and is not intended to lead to an advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.). The practical experience provided during the internship would complement and strengthen the intern's academic study and provide contacts in the professional spheres that s/he is likely to enter at later stages in preparation for an advanced degree

The Internship Programme offers outstanding graduate-level students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UN Women’s work. It is designed to complement women's development-oriented studies with practical experience in various aspects of multilateral technical cooperation, but also complements other international studies, including law. The Bank Internship offers highly motivated and successful individuals an opportunity to improve their skills while working in a diverse environment. Interns generally find the experience to be rewarding and interesting. This Internship typically seeks candidates in the following fields: economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition, population), social science (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, private sector development, as well as other related fields. Fluency in English is required.
