New Zealand Development Scholarships for Students from Africa, Asia and Latin America

The purpose of the scholarships is for candidates to gain knowledge and skills through post-graduate study in specific subject areas that will assist in the development of their home country. Awardees are required to return to their home country for at least two years after the completion of their scholarship to apply these new skills and knowledge in government, civil society, or private business organisation.

 
The University of Sheffield Santander Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students

There are two University of Sheffield Santander Undergraduate Scholarships 2012. These scholarships are available for students starting their undergraduate degree in any faculty at the University. Each scholarship will take the form of a £3,000 tuition fee reduction for the first year of study only. There are five University of Sheffield Santander Postgraduate Scholarships 2012. These scholarships are available for students starting their postgraduate taughts masters degree in any faculty in the University in September 2012. Each scholarship will take the form of a £5,000 tuition fee reduction for one year only

 
Quota Scheme Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries

The Norwegian government provides students from developing countries in the South and countries in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and in Central Asia with financial support to study for a degree in Norway under the Quota Scheme. The main objective of the Quota Scheme is to contribute to capacity building through education that will benefit the home country of the students when they return. The Quota Scheme is also intended to strengthen relations between Norway and the selected countries and thus contribute to internationalisation at Norwegian institutions of higher education.

 
EARTH University Undergraduate Scholarships

The Open Society Foundations, in collaboration with EARTH University, provide five four-year undergraduate scholarships for Haitian students and five for students from Liberia and Sierra Leone to study at EARTH University, Costa Rica. EARTH University offers a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on natural resource management and social entrepreneurship. EARTH University provides an innovative curriculum focused on leadership, agricultural study, and community development to emerging young leaders to enable them to confront the social and environmental challenges of their home countries in tangible and socially responsive ways.

 
University of Southampton: Santander Universities scholarships

Santander Universities offer 5 "Santander - University of Southampton Iberoamerican Master Scholarships" of £5,000 each for Iberian and Latin American students who are interested in studying a master's degree course at Southampton. Successful candidates will be selected on academic merit. This scholarship is compatible with any other source of funding.

 
Global South Scholar-In-Residence PostDoctoral Programme, 2012

The Institute is pleased to welcome academics from Africa, Asia and Latin America for a period of one semester. Candidates are invited to apply to the programme. Successful applicants will be able to take advantage of their period in residence to update their teaching curricula, participate in teaching courses, further their research projects and contribute to enriching the intellectual life of the Institute. Priority will be given to university teachers with a preference for women and junior academics who will seek to apply the benefits of their stay at the Institute upon returning to their own institutions.

 
UNIFEM Internship Programme for Graduate Students

The Internship Programme offers outstanding graduate-level students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UN Women’s work. It is designed to complement women's development-oriented studies with practical experience in various aspects of multilateral technical cooperation, but also complements other international studies, including law. There is no deadline for application submission, however, applications should be received at least three months prior to the anticipated internship
