Beit Trust Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies

The Beit Trust offers annually a small number of Scholarships abroad for postgraduate studies or research to graduates who are domiciled in Malawi, Zambia or Zimbabwe (the beneficial area). Scholarships are taken up at a university in the United Kingdom, Ireland or South Africa, for study in a subject of the individual’s choice appropriate to the needs of the beneficial area. Duration is normally for a maximum of three years at the discretion of Trustees.

 
Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship (IIF) for Applicants from Developing Countries

Top-class researchers from Third Countries are welcome to work on projects in Europe. This helps to develop research cooperation between Europe and other parts of the world to everybody’s benefit. IIF funding is provided for a research project which will transfer knowledge into your host organisation and building or enhancing collaborations between Europe and the rest of the world. The research project will also allow you to advance your career. Financial support is provided for 12-24 months.

 
New Zealand ASEAN Scholar awards for Students from Philippines

The New Zealand ASEAN Scholar awards empower individuals with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to contribute to economic, social and political development within the ASEAN region. The awards are for full-time postgraduate study (i.e. postgraduate diplomas, master’s degrees and doctorates) in New Zealand. An indicative allocation of 18 scholarships is made available for Filipinos who wish to obtain a postgraduate degree in New Zealand commencing in 2013.

 
International Water Centre Scholarship for International Students

To support future water leaders, the International WaterCentre (IWC) is offering partial tuition scholarships (AU$5,000) to the first 50 students who enrol in the IWC Integrated Water Management programs (Masters, Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate) for 2012. These scholarships are available to Australian and international students who do not receive any external full-tuition scholarship or full-tuition funding from other sources.

 
INSEAD Nelson Mandela Endowed Scholarship

To honour the life and work of President Nelson Mandela of South Africa, the INSEAD MBA Class of '75 created an endowment at their 30th Class Reunion to provide financial support for one or more African participants per year at INSEAD in perpetuity. By way of their interests, activities and accomplishments candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) strong likelihood of spending the better part of their working careers in Africa and (d) a firm commitment to the goals of African development, understanding amongst peoples and public interest

 
AUSTRALIA: University of Newcastle Research Scholarships for International Students

The University of Newcastle offers a number of postgraduate research scholarships to support international research candidates. Scholarships are awarded to eligible applicants on the basis of academic merit and through a highly competitive process. The award of research scholarships may also take into account areas of research strength or areas of research in line with the strategic directions of the University. Applicants may elect to be considered in more than one discipline area. A complete separate application must be lodged for each discipline, and each will be considered separately within the relevant faculty.

Masters Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine

This scheme strengthens scientific research capacity in low- and middle-income countries, by providing support for junior researchers to gain research experience and high-quality research training at Masters degree level. Research projects should be aimed at understanding and controlling diseases (either human or animal) of relevance to local, national or global health. We are particularly interested in requests for research training support in the social sciences, demography, health economics, medical statistics and vector biology.

 
Bioversity International Internships

Bioversity's internship programme has three major objectives: 1) to offer young graduate or undergraduate students an opportunity to acquire direct practical experience in their field of specialization; 2) to promote a better understanding of Bioversity and the CGIAR system; 3) to provide groups at headquarters and in the regions with the assistance of outstanding young students specializing in fields relevant to Bioversity's activities.

 
International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) and Scholarships for International Research Fees

Applications are invited from suitably qualified international students for scholarships to undertake the degree of Master by Research or Doctor of Philosophy at The University of Western Australia. Application for a scholarship is also an application for admission to the University. The purpose of the IPRS and the UWA SIRF scheme is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas in which the University has specialised research strengths and to support Australia's research effort. Successful applicants can expect to become members of a research team working under the direction of senior researchers and in an area which has attracted external resources.
