Deadline: 30 September each year

Research grants provide young foreign academics and scientists with an opportunity to carry out a research project or a course of continuing education and training at a German state (public) or state-recognised higher education institution or non-university research institute. Applications for DAAD research grants are open to excellently-qualified university graduates who hold a Diplom or Master's degree at the time they commence the grant-supported research and, in exceptional cases, graduates holding a Bachelor's degree or already holding a doctorate/PhD (post-docs)

University of Ilorin, Ilorin, offers scholarship opportunities for International Students within and outside Africa in any field of their interest. The offer is opened to both undergraduate and graduate up to Master level. Undergraduate applicants must meet the admission requirements of the University. MSc applicants must have Second Class Honours, (Upper Division) or the equivalent in the bachelor degree

 
Victoria University: Susan Price Scholarship for MSc and PhD Programme

The Susan Price Collection, in the National Library of New Zealand, is a research collection of quality children's books published mainly in Britain, America, Australia and New Zealand from the 1930's until the present day. This Scholarship was established by Susan Price, through the Victoria University Foundation, to assist postgraduate studies and to encourage students to use the Collection in their research

 
R. H. T. Bates Postgraduate Scholarship for International Students

Deadline: 1 September 2012

The scholarship, tenable at any New Zealand university for one year, is available to graduates who are registered for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Physical Sciences and Engineering. In accordance with Professor Bates’ love of interdisciplinary research a wide range of students in the physical sciences and engineering will be eligible. Preference will be given to those whose research aims to apply information/image processing to studies in medicine, the physical sciences, astronomy or engineering
