The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Awards are also available for Australians to undertake study, research and professional development abroad.

 
Quota Scheme Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries

Deadline: 1 December 2012 (Annually)

The Norwegian government provides students from developing countries in the South and countries in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and in Central Asia with financial support to study for a degree in Norway under the Quota Scheme. The main objective of the Quota Scheme is to contribute to capacity building through education that will benefit the home country of the students when they return. The Quota Scheme is also intended to strengthen relations between Norway and the selected countries and thus contribute to internationalisation at Norwegian institutions of higher education.

 
Bournemouth University : Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship, offered in conjunction with the UK Government, is offered to students from developing Commonwealth countries who have applied to study a full-time taught postgraduate (Masters) degree at BU and who can demonstrate they already have an outstanding academic and personal profile. Application is online through the Electronic Application System on the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme website

 
Loughborough University: DFID / Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme

Loughborough University is a participating University in the Shared Scholarship Scheme.  For entry in 2012, two full fee and maintenance scholarships are available. The awards are jointly sponsored by the Department for International Development and Loughborough University. This scheme is intended to help students from developing commonwealth countries to undertake a one year taught Masters degree. The degree must be related to the economic and social development of the scholar’s home country.

 
Global South Scholar-In-Residence PostDoctoral Programme, 2012

Deadlines: March 1st and October 1st

The Institute is pleased to welcome academics from Africa, Asia and Latin America for a period of one semester. Candidates are invited to apply to the programme. Successful applicants will be able to take advantage of their period in residence to update their teaching curricula, participate in teaching courses, further their research projects and contribute to enriching the intellectual life of the Institute. Priority will be given to university teachers with a preference for women and junior academics who will seek to apply the benefits of their stay at the Institute upon returning to their own institutions.

 
University of Warwick: Commonwealth Shared MSc Scholarship for Students from developing countries

This scheme offers funding for a small number of students from developing Commonwealth countries to study a Taught Masters course for one year at the University of Warwick. The scheme is funded jointly by the University of Warwick and the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission. For applicants who wish to study a Taught Master's degree in 2012-13, Warwick has five of these scholarships to offer. They can only be used for specific courses

 
UNIFEM Internship Programme for Graduate Students

The Internship Programme offers outstanding graduate-level students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UN Women’s work. It is designed to complement women's development-oriented studies with practical experience in various aspects of multilateral technical cooperation, but also complements other international studies, including law. There is no deadline for application submission, however, applications should be received at least three months prior to the anticipated internship
