SEARCA Graduate (MS/PhD) Scholarships for South East Asian Students

The program provides support for advanced studies leading to the MS and PhD degrees in agriculture, forestry, and related fields. SEARCA aims to prepare highly qualified professionals working in agricultural and rural development for positions of leadership in SEAMEO member countries. Nationals of SEAMEO member countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam) may apply for scholarship.

New Zealand ASEAN Scholars awards empower future leaders with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to make key contributions to economic, social and political development within ASEAN nations. 170 New Zealand ASEAN Scholars awards are allocated for eligible students from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia and Nepal, to undertake postgraduate study at a tertiary institution in New Zealand.

Australian Government - PhD Awards in Agricultural Research for Africans

The Australian Government is offering 20 PhD-level Australia Awards (Scholarships) to candidates from eligible African countries for agriculture-related studies commencing in Australia in 2013. The scholarships are for study in Australia at an Australian university; however it is preferred that any field research is undertaken primarily in Africa.

 
IDRC Doctoral Research Awards for Students from Developing Countries, 2012

Deadline: April 1 and and November 1

IDRC offers these awards twice a year to Canadians, permanent residents of Canada, and citizens of developing countries pursuing their doctoral studies at a Canadian university. These awards are intended for field research in one or more developing countries. Candidates must conduct their research in areas corresponding to IDRC's research priorities.
