James Henry Green Scholarship for South East Asian Students, 2012

The James Henry Green Asia scholarship is available to students of South East Asian nationality or descent who are wishing to pursue an MA degree in Anthropology, Development Studies or Migration Studies at the University of Sussex. The one-year scholarship provides an award of £5,000 as a contribution to tuition fees. The scholarship-holder is expected to submit a final report to RP&M and to forward a bound copy of their MA thesis after successful submission. They are also expected to make a presentation on the subject of their research to the Trustees of the James Henry Green Charitable Trust at one of their annual general meetings during their tenure of the scholarship.

 
Edinburgh Global Online Distance Learning Master's Scholarship

The University of Edinburgh will offer 6 Master's scholarships for eligible distance learning Master's programmes offered by the University. Each scholarship will have a total value of £5,000 which will be deducted from the tuition fee for the entire part-time programme of study. The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.

University College London: Gay Clifford Awards for Outstanding Women Students

This Award is available to female Master's degree students from any country intending to undertake full-time studies within UCL's Faculties of Arts and Humanities or Social and Historical Sciences. Up to five awards are available annually. Awards are made on the basis of academic excellence and research potential. Successful applicants are normally required to hold or expect to achieve a UK first-class Honours undergraduate degree or equivalent. Financial circumstances are not taken into account. Potential candidates must ensure that they submit a full scholarship application by the deadline irrespective of whether an offer of admission has reached them or not

 
UK: Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities for International Students, 2012/2013

The University of Sheffield's Faculty of Arts and Humanities has been given a substantial grant to enhance postgraduate research, thanks to the Wolfson Foundation, a charity that awards grants to support and promote excellence in the fields of science and medicine, health, education, and the arts and humanities. The Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities will be available in three disciplines - history, literature and languages. The scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students who demonstrate the potential to make an impact on one of these fields and to be future academic leaders. They will be awarded solely on merit to students aspiring to an academic career
