SEARCA Graduate (MS/PhD) Scholarships for South East Asian Students

The program provides support for advanced studies leading to the MS and PhD degrees in agriculture, forestry, and related fields. SEARCA aims to prepare highly qualified professionals working in agricultural and rural development for positions of leadership in SEAMEO member countries. Nationals of SEAMEO member countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam) may apply for scholarship.

New Zealand ASEAN Scholars awards empower future leaders with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to make key contributions to economic, social and political development within ASEAN nations. 170 New Zealand ASEAN Scholars awards are allocated for eligible students from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia and Nepal, to undertake postgraduate study at a tertiary institution in New Zealand.

 
Wageningen University: Anne van den Ban Scholarship Fund for Students from Developing Countries

The Anne van den Ban Scholarship Fund is named after Dr. Ir. Anne van den Ban, former Professor of Rural Extension at Wageningen University. The fund was founded in 1992 by two Wageningen alumni. The scholarship fund enables promising students from developing countries to study at Wageningen University. As a result, it contributes to the education of competent and motivated local experts, who can then play a leading role in solving the structural problems of their country in agricultural production, rural development and the environment.

 
Edinburgh Global Online Distance Learning Master's Scholarship
Masters - Vet. Medicine and Biomedical Science

Deadline: 31 May 2012

The University of Edinburgh will offer 6 Master's scholarships for eligible distance learning Master's programmes offered by the University. Each scholarship will have a total value of £5,000 which will be deducted from the tuition fee for the entire part-time programme of study. The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent. 

 
The Norman E. Borlaug LEAP Fellowship for Graduate Agricultural Students from Developing Countries
Masters - Vet. Medicine and Biomedical Science

Deadline: May 18, 2011

The purpose of this fellowship to enhance the quality of thesis research of graduate students from developing countries who show strong promise as leaders in the field of agriculture and related disciplines. The fellowship is funded by the United States Agency for International Development. Awards are made on a competitive basis to students who show strong scientific and leadership potential, have a well coordinated proposal between their home university, a US university mentor, and the CGIAR mentor, and whose research is related to a strong research and support project within the host country
