Each year, Equitas organizes its 3-week, intensive International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP) at John Abbott College in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, where approximately 130 human rights workers from over 60 countries come to gain knowledge, skills and strategies related to human rights education. The intern will be placed as a Coordination Assistant for the International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP). The position entails a combination of the following responsibilities: logistical and administrative support prior to and during the program in June. The interns’ responsibilities include the organisation of social events, the preparation of the participants’ directory and the coordination of the rooms used by Equitas at the John Abbott College during the program.

Bioversity International Internships

Neotropical Research and Culture Internship for International Students

This internship is intended for exceptional undergraduates, recent graduates (post-bachelor’s), and earlystage graduate students with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career involving scientific research, and in particular, tropical biology. IFAD Internship Programme

The World Food Programme (WFP) Internship Program

Internships with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)

The different departments of UNHCR in the Geneva and Budapest offices offer internships to young people throughout the year. Some family duty field offices also take on interns. The duration of internships normally lasts between two and six months. Internships are offered depending on the availability of meaningful assignments and the needs and capacity of units/offices to receive and supervise interns. There is no deadline for sending in an application form. The kind of work interns are offered depends on UNHCR requirements as well as the qualifications and interests of the applicant.

UNFPA Internship Programme
