The University of Otago Prestigious Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support exceptional doctoral students studying at the University of Otago. Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research. These scholarships are also available for candidates for professional doctorates (DClinDent, EdD) who will be engaged in full-time thesis study in the year following application

The scholarship has been established to encourage undergraduate and postgraduate research in the field of building regulation in Australia. The scholarship is available for students undertaking study in the field of Built Environment or Engineering at an Australian educational institution. Applicants may be studying full-time, part-time or externally and there are no residency/citizenship requirements. The research must form a component of a program/course at an educational institution. Wellcome Trust-Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Postdoctoral Fellowships, 2012

This scheme offers opportunities for postdoctoral scientists to undertake research at the interfaces between biology/medicine and mathematics, engineering, computer, physical or chemical sciences, firstly at MIT and then at a UK institution. Short-Term Fellowships fund research visits of up to three months to laboratories in Europe and elsewhere in the world. The aim is to facilitate valuable collaborations with research groups applying techniques unavailable in their own laboratories. A Georg Forster Research Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers allows you to carry out a long-term research project (6−24 months) you have selected yourself in cooperation with an academic host you have selected yourself at a research institution in Germany

 
USA: Africa Internships Program

The Africa Program is seeking qualified applicants for its internship program in Washington, DC. Interns will assist the Africa Program staff in its Washington area activities, including public forums, research activities and support for our programming in Central Africa. The Intern will be assigned to work directly with the Africa Program Staff in support of project activities for a minimum of 20 hours per week
